On the 790 you can't change the date, only the mileage. The date rolls once the current interval is completed and you reset the service mileage interval. Perhaps set the mileage to the lowest (500) and then roll it for 500 miles. The logic may be miles or date, whichever comes first, and at that point the date rolls 12 months ahead.

Drained it completely, and got an oil change kit from KTM: Filter, 2 screens, and new bolts with all the respective O- rings. Filled the bike with exactly 1,6 Litres as the service manual indicates.
The claimed 10000 kms drain interval is not up to the mark and hence after the initial running of the bike of 5000 kms on the stock Bajaj oil, it was time to get a change. After loads of research on which is the best oil for my bike, I finally narrowed down to the Motul 7100 Fully Synthetic Oil. Overall I have to say that Чернотa is a very reliable KTM 690 Enduro R. In the meanwhile it has over 140.000 km or 86.000 MI on the Odo. Oil+Filter change The KTM 790 Adventure has 9300 mile / 15000 km or annual service intervals. At every service, change the oil and filter, and do a host of checks. KTM recommends you check and adjust the valve clearances of the 790 engine every 18600 miles or 30000 km.
