The 135 f/2.0 is a superb lens for your application, although I use a 70-200 F/2.8 whenver the light allows. The lower you can get (sit on the floor) the higher leaps, tucks, vaults, etc. will look. If you can get close to the beam and shoot with a wider angle lens from low, the leaps and jumps will look even bigger.
p.1 #5 ยท p.1 #5 ยท Does anyone use a Canon 5d Mark IV for sports? The 5DIV is a better choice over the 1Dx unless you really need the fps and durability. The 5D4, DR, AF and AF accuracy along with much better low light AF acquisition are all superior to the 1Dx. AWB is much better as well, particularly indoors. Directions for EOS Utility 3.0.0 (6D, 5D Mark III, 1D-X, 1D-C) Connect the camera to your computer using the USB cord. If EOS Utility does not automatically start, open the program. Click "Date/Time/Zone Setting," verify settings and click the "From PC" button. There is also an option to automatically synchronize the camera's time with the PC Using the custom control menu in most Canon cameras makes it very easy to set a control button to function as a switch between One Shot and AI Servo. I normally have the DoF Preview button programmed to that function with my 5D Mark III so that I can switch from one to the other without even removing my eye from the viewfinder. I also sometimes

Outdoor on a sunny day it is easy to get a proper exposure because you have so much light. I would try Av mode (aperture priority) and select as Tim suggests, a wide-ish aperture like f/4 and a focal length between 50mm and like 80mm on your T3i. The shutter speed will be very fast and that is great.

The Canon EOS 5D Mark IV offers good dynamic range, but it's largely matched by the much higher resolution Nikon D850 and beaten by both the Nikon D780 and Sony A7 Mark III from ISO 800 upwards. Overall, the EOS 5D Mark IV produces very good results for resolution and noise control but falls behind for dynamic range at mid-high ISO settings
Thanks to the improved signal-to-noise ratio of the new sensor and powerful noise reduction, the EOS 5D Mark III can shoot at expanded sensitivities down to ISO 50 (L) and up to 51200 (H1), and even 102400 (H2)! Beyond the obvious advantages of its wide ISO range, the EOS 5D Mark III has automatic ISO settings, found on the dedicated ISO menu.
