3.1-While driving. When the ESP warning light comes on when you are driving your Citroen C4 Picasso, do not worry, this is normal, it informs you that the ESP device works in particular when you take turns. The sensors send data to the computer which will analyze them and, if necessary, activate the electronic assistance systems.
In June 2016, a recall was issued for Citroen C4 Picasso vehicles because a manufacturing flaw for the door locks could cause the internal mechanism of one or more locks to jam – this could prevent one or more of the doors from closing, or expose them to unexpected unlocking and opening.
I have a C4 Grand Picasso (2008) and have a problem with the seatbelt warning. When driving along and I go over a pothole or bump in the road, the seatbelt warning indicator will come on. It is always for the same location - the nearside rear seat which is one of the two that can be collapsed to give larger bootspace.Re: 2009 C4 Grand Picasso ABS issues. I fixed the issue and thought I'd post the solution in case this crops up with someone else. The sensor and active sensor bearing both turned out to be fine and functional, as were the connectors and electric harness. It turned out that the sensor mounting had been knocked slightly out of place somehow.
Remove the circlip (yes, that rusty mess that used to be a circlip on the back of the bearing) - not so hard here as the ABS sensor allows a gap to start worrying at the back of the clip. Press out the bearing from the hub. Press in the new bearing, ensuring that the magnetic side goes inboard. Fit the new circlip.
Handbrake - broken wire found in the rear harness so again a fairly easy fix after i had dropped the diesel tank. But then the ABS, I have 2 reoccurring fault codes, C0037 95 & C003A 95. Both point to the rear abs sensor and a wiring fault. So far I have rewired the abs sensors in the rear harness into the cabin. No fix.
